Wow, I haven't participated in ICLW for almost a year! Well, here I am. And here you are! Welcome!!
Speaking of, I just updated my "Welcome" tab so feel free to click up there and read that :)
My husband and I are approved to adopt and have been waiting for 1 1/4 years to be matched.
I like cats, chocolate, scrapbooking, the sound of rain, presents, wildflowers, cheese, and a great many other random things :)
Looking forward to hearing from you and visiting your blogs!

Hello
I love ICLW - having so many people come by my blog, adding new blogs to my reading list, "meeting" new people, saying hello to old friends. :)
Just wanted to let you all know that I updated my "Me & Hubby" and "My Testimony" tabs. Nothing earth-shattering - just little tweaks :)
Thanks for stopping by! :)

August ICLW
Hello to those of you participating in ICLW!
Just a quick blurb on me.
My husband and I are approved to adopt and are waiting for "The Call". Have questions? Feel free to ask - I love talking about [most] aspects of our story and definitely about adoption.
I love cats.
And chocolate.
I am currently eating on Organic Soy-Free Swiss Milk Chocolate bar - it's my drug of choice during PMS. I can't eat soy, amongst many other things, so I was very happy to find this bar.
I recently turned 31. I was told it would be harder than turning 30, but 31 was pretty much a non-event for me. Once upon a time I "planned" on being done having kids by age 30. Bwahahahahaha!!!!! Ultimately, though, I'm glad God is in charge because I think He knows what He's doing a whole lot better than me.
What do you think of this idea?
Do you scrapbook? I do, and make cards, and stamp, and I love it all! This is my most recent completed page, pretty much baring my heart.
Is anybody else like this? I find myself obsessing about all things baby-related - the clothes, oh, the adorable onesies and shoes, and the how-to take care of a baby books, and looking at pins for ideas on decorating a nursery, etc. Yet at the same time I feel as if the pregnant people are stalking me, because they're everywhere, and really does every article and book and TV show and conversation have to include pregnancy, labour and delivery, nursing, and how nothing compares to said experiences??
I also love corn on the cob. And tis the season for corn on the cob!
And I'm hungry.
And I'm like a squirrel, jumping from topic to topic. Makes it more interesting for you! :D

February 2013 ICLW
Welcome here! I'm making this short this time.
We're in the process of getting approved for adoption.
Homestudy starts on March 5!!!
We're cramming to get everything done before then.
I just read the best quote ever to sum up our journey to adoption. Read it here.
Thanks for dropping in!

So Many Changes!
Hello ICLWers! Sorry I haven't been reading & commenting much this week, and I can't promise that I'll do better yet... Not entirely sure why I signed up this month, lol, but I guess I just didn't predict how crazy busy I would be!
I have been stressed, stressed, stressed with all the decision-making that comes along with renos, and I've discovered my stress is amplified when people volunteer to help - or worse, when they help without asking first. And then organizing these helpful people, and trying to make them get along with each other - ugh! THANKFULLY everything has turned out well so far and, although there have been days I have spent in tears, there have actually been relaxing, fun days as well. Painting is all done, and flooring is next. We move in the first weekend of February. My current house? Totally neglected lately.
Hubby started a new job. Yeah, it was rather sudden. But then again, rather drawn out. He'd applied, gotten an interview, then they'd decided not to hire anyone, then the job was open again, he applied again, then he e-mailed after a while just to see what was up because he wasn't hearing anything and the position still needed filling, then he got another interview, was told he was liked by a high-up guy he thought hated him and it all around felt like a good interview, a couple days later was told they wanted to hire him, and a couple days later was his first day! So now he is no longer a truck driver and is OFF THE ROAD (Read: Wife can stop worrying so much) and has an office job as a fleet manager (aka dispatcher) training to tell those truck drivers where to go! I'm very happy for him.
Things are still moving forward with the adoption process...although some days we're moving so slowly I think we're almost moving backwards. Selling our property, selling our house, Christmas, buying a place, renos, new job AND adoption process - we're crazy people. Plain and simple. Crazy people. Yesterday I contacted our agency to see if all our stuff was in - I just couldn't wait any more to know. Found out they're still waiting for one of our reference letters. Now, we know this person wrote their letter a lo-o-ong time ago - but I guess just forgot to send it in! SO, we're getting on their case, lol, but even so, we're told we can set up our first homestudy appointment (once one of the workers is back from the holidays she is on this week). EEEK!!! Now I'm hoping the appointment isn't too soon, lol, because we still have stuff to complete! Hubby has promised me we're working on it tonight!!
Gotta go. I hope things are going well for all of you, and you're often in my thoughts! Thank you SOOOO much for your comments :)

September ICLW
Hi, and welcome to my blog, newcomers and regular readers both :)
This is only my second time doing ICLW. My first time was in July, and I really liked it. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, click here.
So this is the spot where I give a synopsis of our journey. But I don't know what to write. Because I still haven't decided what I do and do not feel comfortable sharing. (I should clarify: I am, for the most part, comfortable sharing my complete story with those I don't personally know, but a lot more uncomfortable sharing with those I could easily run into the next time I'm in the grocery store or at a family gathering!)
I will say this: There are a number of significant reasons that have come together concluding in the result of us ADOPTING!
We are not approved yet and are still in the stage of getting paperwork ready and finding money.
Feel free to click around and read more. Thanks so much for stopping by!!
